To celebrate the launch of Nike’s Flyknit material and structural footwear innovation in China, this architecture began by cataloging sustainable recycled material opportunities to create an architecture constructed of 100% trash and was designed to conceptualize Flyknit’s lightweight strength and supportive flexibility on a giant scale.
The walls were made of recycled PET-Natrilon™ derived from plastic bottles, the canopy structure used recycled PET laces with the canopy shading surface and the loom like support cable made from Rice Fiber- the 100% recycled super-strength PET yarn reinforced with RICE (Wheat) Husk nano silicon dioxide with a triangular light reflective filament cross-section. MINIWIZ was a core partner in launching this groundbreaking product innovation which went on to become one of Nike’s most valuable and scalable product breakthroughs of all time.
